KEY STAGE 3
The school aims to provide a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum in accordance with the National Curriculum. Religious Education is at the centre of the curriculum at Sacred Heart and it is taught throughout the school.
At Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) all students study:

Technology (Food & Product Design)
During Year 8 some students are given the opportunity to study a second Modern Foreign Language. All students study Personal Development: This includes RSHE, citizenship, PSHCE, CIEAG and independent guidance, alongside opportunities for spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. This is delivered through appropriate subject lessons, regular workshops throughout the year and within one hour's lesson per fortnight with their personal tutor.
KEY STAGE 4
At Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) all students continue to study:
Religious Education
English Language and English Literature
Mathematics
Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Examined as either Trilogy or separate Sciences)
Physical Education
Personal Development: RSHE, citizenship, PSHCE, CIEAG and independent guidance, alongside opportunities for spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

We welcome all students into Year 12 and offer a choice of two programmes of study, together with a Curriculum Enhancement programme incorporating Personal Development.
