On 12th January 2023, GCSE and A Level Dance students travelled to London for the annual Dance residential trip. The girls explored the famous Covent Garden and watched an evening West End performance of Wicked. The next day, they took classes at Pineapple Dance Studios. These classes ranged in style from contemporary to ballet, jazz, commercial and street, giving the girls the opportunity to work with world-renown dance artists to learn fast paced choreography and complex technique exercises. They were challenged, inspired and motivated for their upcoming practical exams!
Over the past few weeks, the Sacred Heart Dance department has hosted many exciting visitors! Our students have worked with professional dance artists from Dance City's degree programme, as well as the Northern School of Contemporary Dance plus programme. A Level and GCSE students have participated in workshops, developing their performance, technique and choreographic skills.
