In July, forty-five of our Year 10 students will go on an international trip to Belgium and France as part of their GCSE History course. They will have the opportunity to visit the Ypres and Somme Battlefields and to gain a fuller appreciation of the experiences of soldiers in the trenches during the First World War.
The trip will also provide students with the opportunity for prayer and reflection. Many of them will know the names of relatives who served in the war and may be able to find their names commemorated on the memorials they will visit.
We hope Year 10 enjoy and make the most of this trip!
