We were honoured to be asked to attend the Installation Mass for the new Bishop, the Right Reverend Stephen Wright, at St Mary’s Cathedral on 19th July. Mrs Howell, Mrs Tivnen and some of our Year 10 girls welcomed guests at the main entrance, alongside Mr Murray the Headteacher from St Cuthbert’s and some Year 10 boys. We also supported the celebration event afterwards and took the opportunity to shake hands with and chat to Bishop Stephen and invite him to visit Sacred Heart. We are all hopeful that Bishop Stephen will be the change that our diocese needs. In his homily he spoke about his ministry to serve and to safeguard all and he asked for our prayers and support.
