Black History Month 2023 is a momentous occasion to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of black people to British society.
Our school celebrates the unique contribution of members of our community with events and assemblies.
Beginning this week, all assemblies have began with the work of pioneering composer George Walker. Looking at "Lyrics for Strings", we celebrated his achievements as the first African American to win a Pulitzer Prize for Music, first graduate from the Curtis Institute Philadelphia and his vast talent and body of work.
