This week, the Drama Department took centre stage with assemblies that showcased the incredible talent of our students from years 7 – 13 and highlighted the wide variety of opportunities available within the department. Year 12 students, Molly and Evie, hosted the assembly, sharing their own experiences of how drama has shaped their confidence, creativity, and skills.

Student watched a range of performances from students in Key Stage 3, GCSE, A-Level and our dedicated extracurricular LAMDA students, who demonstrated their skill, commitment, and creative flair.

In addition to the performances, students were reminded about the wonderful range of opportunities available to them and the department’s collaborations with renowned theatre companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), Theatre Royal, and Northern Stage further highlighting the breadth of possibilities for students interested in performing, directing, design, and stage management.

We would like to thank all the students who performed in this fantastic event, as well as Molly and Evie for being such engaging presenters. If this assembly has sparked an interest in getting involved with drama, we encourage students to visit the department and explore the exciting opportunities on offer.
