European "Week" of Languages

Bonjour, hola, salve, guten tag, olá, goddag, yassas, dzień dobry, god dag!

The European Day of Languages (EDL) is celebrated across Europe on the 26th of September every year. It aims to promote the rich linguistic diversity of Europe and raise awareness of the importance of lifelong language learning for everyone. It was set up by the Council of Europe and was first celebrated in 2001.

At Sacred Heart we love to share the rich culture of our students, teachers and the wider world.

This year there are many celebratory events planned. Beginning next week you can join in the fun with the events below. For more information ask your languages teacher or check out the MFL notice board.
