Miss Milburn held the final of the Year Seven Spelling Bee on our final day of this year's Festival of Reading. The girls were tested on Key Vocabulary from across the curriculum.
The following students were our finalists: Asal Alavinari, Testimoy Uchena, Ruma Gela-Moor, Amelia Alderson, Daniela Okojie Okojie, Evangeline Cross.
After a very tense opening three rounds, Ruma Gela-Moor, Amelia Alderson and Asal Alavinari went through to the final. All the girls did incredibly well under huge pressure - but there could only be one winner - RUMA!
Well done to all the girls involved - spelling in front of a large audience of your peers could be a real challenge, but they all showed real courage and confidence.
