The purpose of Geography Awareness Week is to raise awareness about the significance of Geography to everyone’s lives and encourage people to consider their relationship with the environment and place.
The Geography Department will be delivering a variety of activities and opportunities for each year group which will take place this week.
Depending on their year group, students can engage with the following activities...
All year groups - Geography Film Club every lunch time in G1.
Year 7 - A National Geographic style photography competition.
Year 8 - Geography themed quizzes.
Year 9 - Geography beyond KS3 presentation and Sky Trip launch.
Years 10 & 11 - Geography beyond GCSE presentations.
Years 12 & 13 - A National Geographic style photography competition.
Teachers of all subjects will contribute to a raising awareness of people and place throughout the curriculum.
