15 of our fantastic Sports Leaders helped to host a primary school tennis event at Silksworth Centre in Sunderland.
The event spanned over 2 days, of which 30 schools attended. Each leader ran a skills station where they had to introduce, run the activity and keep score. At the end of the sessions the leaders ran the ceremony, presenting medals to the 3rd, 2nd and 1st place schools.
Every leader that supported the event exemplified the qualities of a great leader, demonstrating an empathetic approach. They showed a remarkable ability to listen, fostering an environment of trust and open communication. They led by example, demonstrating integrity and commitment to provide a fantastic experience for the primary school students.
A member of staff from a primary school commented "these are some of the best leaders I have ever seen at these events and are a credit to you".
We are very proud of the outstanding example our students demonstrated. The leaders enjoyed a celebratory lunch the last Friday of half term as a thank you from the school for their hard work.
