This half-term, we are reflecting on the Sacred Heart Goal of Intellect—how we use our minds, gifts, and talents to seek truth, understand the world, and reach our potential. Let Your Light Shine week was all about embracing opportunities to think creatively, challenge ourselves, and step outside our comfort zones.

Throughout this week, students engaged in a variety of inspiring and thought-provoking activities designed to celebrate the power of intellect in different ways. Open mic poetry sessions encouraged self-expression, while top-secret brain teaser missions tested problem-solving skills under pressure. The Philosophy for Young Minds sessions invited students to question and debate big ideas, fostering critical thinking and curiosity.

Creativity also played a key role, with Art workshops and lantern-making sessions providing space for students to explore their ideas visually. The MFL escape rooms blended language skills with logical reasoning, proving that intellect is not just about knowledge, but about adaptability and innovation.

What made this week so special was the energy and enthusiasm from our students and our wonderful staff. They embraced each challenge, engaged in deep discussions, and supported one another in stepping outside their comfort zones. It was a powerful reminder that intellect is not just about what we know—it’s about how we think, question, and grow.
Keep shining!
