An enterprising group of Year 10 students have shown off their STEM skills by competing in the Nissan VEX robotics event. The girls stayed back after school to build a robot, called BOB, from the ground up to their own modified design. They created a computer program to run the robot autonomously and to be driven manually.
At the event they competed against a dozen other schools, fighting their way through to the semi-finals and knocking out more experienced 6th form and Year 11 teams along the way.
The girls showed resilience and teamwork in bringing their ideas to life, taking their programming and engineering skills to the next level.
