Poet Rowan McCabe was the guest speaker this week at Junior Literature Society.
Rowan has performed his poetry nationwide, from the Royal Albert Hall to Glastonbury Festival. He rose to fame as the world's first 'door-to-door poet' and was recently Poet in Residence at Wordsworth House in Cumbria.
The session with fifteen year 11 Literature students was an exciting insight into the world of the Beat Poet generation. Students enjoyed exploring the life and work of writers such as Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg.
