We are thrilled to announce that Sacred Heart has joined the Shakespeare Ambassadors scheme this year; a prestigious program for young people from the Royal Shakespeare Company's Associate Schools.
16 of our dedicated students from Year 8 and 9 will take on positions of responsibility, becoming advocates for Shakespeare and the Arts within our school and the local community. Their journey with the RSC began in Year 7, performing Macbeth at Northern Stage as part of the RSC Associate Schools Festival. This incredible experience sparked their enthusiasm for theatre. Meeting weekly, the Ambassadors will work hard planning an exciting program of workshops, assemblies, and special celebration events for the year. Their creativity and enthusiasm are driving a range of initiatives that will inspire their peers and promote the transformative power of Shakespeare's work.
Next term, the Ambassadors will participate in a training day led by RSC Learning Practitioners, where they will develop their skills and collaborate on future projects. We look forward to sharing their journey as they continue to celebrate Shakespeare and the Arts, fostering creativity and inspiration within the Sacred Heart community!
