Sacred Heart has trialled a new visitor session this week, with Kerry from the Northumbria Police Education department (also known as Pol-Ed). Kerry spent two hours with us on Tuesday afternoon and delivered two sessions to Year 10 students on Managing risk around exploitation. This included information on social media use and safeguards, and what to do in situations where students might feel uncomfortable or witness something that they need to pass on. Our Year 10 students took part with motivation and maturity, and Kerry was impressed at their willingness to speak freely about such sensitive topics.
