Sacred Heart High School celebrated World Book Day 2023 with a host of activities: as per Sacred Heart tradition, teachers around school dressed up as their favourite literary character, and students were also invited to wear a book themed accessory for the day!

There were also many competitions and quizzes students could take part in, including a 500-word short story competition, match the teacher to the Greek Myth and guess the teacher by their favourite books and pets!
The day came to a close when, during last lesson, every class in school was invited to 'Drop Everything and Read' a short story: Examination Day by Henry Slesar; with accompanying Audible-style recording featuring some of our teachers and students.
World Book Day is so important to Sacred Heart; a chance for the whole school community to celebrate our love of reading across every age group!
