As part of the school’s week-long celebrations of World Book Day, a selection of students from Year 7 were invited to Seven Stories to meet Children’s Laureate, Joseph Coelho and author, Burhana Islam.
Both of these writers spoke about working in the creative industries, diversity and representation in children’s books.
The selected students were rewarded for their love of reading this year, with many of them having already read more than a million words in school since September!
