Sacred Heart had three representatives at the World Irish Dance Championships in Belfast this year.
Ellie Wright, Jessica Pritchard (Y10) and Megan Wright Y8 all competed at an open level in two 8 hand traditional Ceili team competitions and came 26th and 27th out of dancers from all over the world.
Ellie says, “We all watched dancers on a tv show when we were as little as 4 and 6 then found an after-school club and have been dancing ever since.”
“We would encourage other people to try Irish dancing because it's fun, keeps you fit and healthy and you can travel the world as well as creating friends and memories.”
