Year 12 students have started a table top society to create an inclusive and accessible environment for people to access various table top games. These games include those such as Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering and other fantasy-based role play games.
These games have been proven in various psychological studies to improve mental health of participants particularly in teenagers however are often inaccessible. This is why Year 12 thought it was so important to start the society. Playing often requires a supportive friend group and pricey resources which many do not have.
The society gives people these two things allowing people to express their creativity and give them a possibility unthought of way to improve their mental health.
