On Monday 22nd April, A-Level Film students enjoyed a trip to the cinema to see a screening of the new Amy Winehouse biopic Back to Black. This enrichment opportunity was designed to complement their study of Kapadia's documentary Amy, a set text for their A-Level examinations. The film has already stimulated thought provoking discussion, with students commenting on the similarities and differences concerning how the narrative is presented, as well as considering the conventions of true fiction in relation to documentary.
