Students in Year 11 visited the Northern PowerGrid Site at Stella to learn about the opportunities available as apprentices across the entire Energy sector.
Alongside a discussion on the opportunities for women in this area, they received a tour of the site and developed an insight into the supply of electricity across the UK and how it is generated and moved across the North East. We were very grateful to our hosts Liam and Paul for the fascinating tour.
The students have also visited the Department of Work and Pensions in Gateshead and YourHomes Newcastle to explore apprenticeship opportunities across the North East in a range of sectors, including electrical, construction, local government and business.
