This month, all Year 12 and 13 Ceramics students went to Edinburgh to visit some of the city’s numerous art galleries to gather research work for their coursework.
The highlight of the trip was going to see the major retrospective of the work of contemporary artist Grayson Perry and his 'Smash Hits' exhibition at the National Academy.
The students loved seeing the work of this influential artist and understanding how he makes political and social commentary through his love of art and ceramics. Students also got to visit the Dovecot Studios and City Art Centre as part of the trip.
