Students from Year 12 Fine Art, Ceramics and Textiles classes took part in a project called Articulate at the Laing Art Gallery, in collaboration with the National Gallery.
We viewed current exhibitions from permanent and temporary collections with the gallery curator and Laing Art Gallery team. Disciplinary Literacy was explored through reading paintings and artworks, discovering symbols and stories. In small groups students prepared a presentation about a chosen artwork and delivered this to gallery staff and visitors, on the gallery floor in front of the work!
