In June, A level biology students took part in this year’s Royal Society of Biology Intermediate Olympiad Competition.
Over 14,000 students from over 700 schools worldwide took part in this year's competition. There were 23 entries from Sacred Heart High School and two students, Michelle Chen and Tiffany Poon were awarded with gold certificates and Imogen Bungay was awarded with a silver.
These girls fall into the top 15% of all students who took part, an outstanding achievement.
We also had six bronze awards, four highly commended and three commended. This competition challenges biology knowledge, testing the students on a whole range of topics from cellular biology, ecology to genetics.
All participants should be very proud of their efforts and achievements. Well done everyone.
