Chemistry students in Y12 visited the Pharmacy Department at Newcastle University. Alongside being able to use the fantastic facilities to perform a number of A Level practicals, including making paracetamol, carrying out melting point analysis and performing thin layer chromatography; students also got to experience the fantastic university facilities and speak to current under and postgraduate students.
