Year 12 students are currently working with Year 3 students from Sacred Heart Primary School to promote a love of reading and literacy. Our students are truly living out the GOAL OF COMMUNITY and acting with an open heart, by supporting younger students within the Sacred Heart community.
One of the Year 12 students taking part reflected on this experience so far:
“On Thursdays I take part in paired reading where I go to Sacred Heart Primary School and help Year 3 students with their literacy skills and help broaden their vocabulary. It is a rewarding opportunity because I have a role in encouraging their confidence not only in reading, but also in developing a passion for reading.” (Aquiline Y12)
