In November each of the year 8 teaching groups attended a 1-hour session with Darren from Northumbria Polices' Violence Reduction Unit (VRU).
In the sessions they learned about what counts as malicious online content, and about the legal consequences for perpetrators who choose to bully others or share harmful or abusive online content. They also looked into the impact of being on the receiving end of this sort of negative online material.
