Year 9 Netball- A Thrilling Season Opener!

The A Team played brilliantly in their season opener against Westfield.

The match was tightly contested, with both teams showcasing skill and determination. After a strong first half, Sacred Heart A took control, leading 2-1 thanks to excellent teamwork and sharp shooting. However, Westfield fought back, leveling the score at 2-2 before we regained the lead. In a tense final few minutes, Westfield scored a late equaliser, ending the match in a 3-3 draw. Despite the result, the A Team showed great promise and set the tone for an exciting season ahead.

The B Team put in a strong performance in their first match of the season against Westfield, despite a 4-1 loss. The B team worked hard from the start, showing solid defence and teamwork throughout the game. Though they kept the pressure on Westfield, it was tough to break through their defence. The team managed to score a well-earned goal with Verity's sharp shooting skills, but Westfield's determination made the difference in the end. While the final score didn’t reflect their efforts, the B Team displayed great potential and resilience, leaving plenty to build on as they move forward this season.
