This week, we have been trialling the targeted and sensitive delivery of some key safeguarding information to an enthusiastic group of Year 9 students.
The students took part in discussions and activities around topics including exploitation, domestic violence, rape, controlling relationships and coercion. The delivery of these emotive topics is something that we believe is very important in order to get the correct information to age appropriate students.
The students who took part represented Sacred Heart with maturity and sensitivity. They impressed the visitors from the West End Women and Girls Centre so much that they were awarded hoodies, and will be able to provide student voice to the planning of safeguarding content moving forward.
