Year 11 Subject Bridging Work

Please find below the link to our Year 11 Subject Bridging Work.  Here you will find all the resources for the subject taster sessions.

Y11 Bridging Work - 2024 - All Documents (sharepoint.com)

Subject Entrance Tests

If on results day you find you do not meet the grade entry requirements for one of the subjects you would like to study, there will be an opportunity to sit a paper during the Year 12 transition days in September.

To be able to sit this paper you must have the relevant APS (Average Point Score) for the subject but have missed the grade requirement for that subject by only one grade.  The option to sit a paper is only available for one subject.

For example, you would like to take Geography but achieved a grade 4 in your GCSE.  If you have an APS of 5 or above, then you have the option to sit this paper.

The option of whether you need to sit this paper will be decided on results on day.

The paper is based on the bridging work you have been given in the subject taster sessions. If you were unable the sessions, all the bridging work is available online.  Please click the link above under the bridging work section.
